TLC Music Online Session 1

Free Online Early Childhood Music Session

Welcome everyone to our first online TLC Music session!

I thought I'd record something for those of you who missed a session due to current events and for everyone trying to find positive things to do with their children at home.

This session is free for all my TLC Music families and any parents stuck at home with young children, feel free to share with your friends :) This tutorial is NOT a professional development tutorial for music therapists and does not meet current CBMT/CPD requirements.

In this session we'll be singing, dancing, bouncing, playing instruments, singing a story, having a cuddle and sharing some positive time together. It works best with a parent or care-giver actively involved and will give your child some fun stimulation while also providing a sense of safety and reassurance.

You will need:

- Some instruments - either home made or something from your music box

- A scarf or blanket to hide under

Routine is good for kids so if you're a regular member of the TLC Music family then you might like to watch this at your normal music time and follow-up with morning tea and playtime, but you are welcome to watch this as often as you like, for as long as you like.

Developmentally I include a lot of things in our sessions, such as rehearsing fine and gross motor skills, emotional regulation and language skills. Join in with your children with the singing and actions as their active participation will be a reflection of yours.

Have fun and I'll hopefully see you all soon!

x Jacinta
