Dr. Petra Kern is a board-certified music therapist in the USA, Canada, and Germany with over 25 years experiences in clinical practice, research, education, and organizational leadership. She is known for her innovative projects, cutting-edge thinking, and international work. As Editor-in-Chief of imagine, she brings together knowledge, practices, and trends from the world’s best early childhood music therapists. A former President of the World Federation of Music Therapy (WFMT), Dr. Kern currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT) and continues her commitment to the editorial boards of the Canadian Journal of Music Therapy, and the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine. She is the recipient of many awards, is a frequent international speaker and guest lecturer, and has authored over 80 publications.
